Parent/Child/Adolescent Issues
Katherine Therrell has teaching experience in grades 6 through 12 and in the community college system. She has work in both public and private schools with all types of students. She is also the mother of a child with ADHD. She believes that all children can learn, though they learn at different rates, by different methods, and achieve at different levels. Katherine Therrell is able to be an effective advocate for the learning disabled child because she understands learning disability from the perspective of the parent, the teacher, and the child.
As a former counselor with the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice, Katherine Therrell is experienced in working with parents and children. Her clients are successful in improving family communication, discovering and addressing individual and family mental health issues, and implementing behavior modification techniques to change undesirable behaviors.
